The Savannah Community Along With The NAACP Mourns The Loss of Mrs. Lottie Banner

The Savannah Branch Of The NAACP extends condolences and sympathy to the family of Mrs. Lottie Banner who transitioned on May 7th.

We have lost our Youth Council Adviser who during the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960’s was instrumental in the integration of the Savannah Beach at Tybee Island and the Daffin Park Pool. Mrs. Banner lead sit-ins and marches with the Youth Council High School Members in downtown Savannah.

She was 94 years old and she will be missed. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.

Services will be held on Saturday May 18, 2019 at 11:00 am at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, 1008 May Street, Savannah, Ga.31415.
