Two community leaders, Kurtina Pollen and ZaDonna Slay, both Savannah natives, were inducted into the Savannah Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, on Sunday, May 15, 2011.
Ms. Pollen is the Customer Communications Manager at Gulfstream Aerospace, and Ms. Slay is the Executive Director of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).
“These young women have expertise in several of our facet areas (The Arts, Services to Youth, National and International Trends of Services, and Health and Human Services). Their involvement and participation will enhance the service delivery efforts of our chapter,” said Dr. Connie Cooper, President of the chapter.
The Links, Incorporated is an international, not-for-profit corporation, established in 1946.
The membership consists of 12,000 professional women of color in 274 chapters located in 42 states, the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.
It is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of extraordinary women who are committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry.
