The Blacklight Extravaganza To Be Held

The Blacklight Extravaganza is coming to Garden City. This popular Blacklight presentation will be held at 6:30 PM on 11/16/2013 at the Alpha Omega Worship Center, 4906 Pineland Drive, Garden City.

All ages enjoy the show from the youngest to the oldest, which features full human size puppets, drama, light show, flags, dowel rods, and dance with musical instruments, streamers, and signs. The black light feature gives a striking effect that is very mesmerizing.

The blacklight team is from First Baptist Church of Alma. The team has won The Peoples Choice Award several times in competitions in Florida. They have performed in many churches, theaters and public auditoriums across Georgia where the audiences were filled to standing room only.

“Regardless of one’s beliefs (or lack thereof), it’s almost impossible to not be entertained by this talented team’s use of life-sized puppet animation, songs, skits and lights,” writes Carl Lee Wilson, Editor of the Alma Times.

“It’s not unusual to forget the production is a labor of love, rather than a ticketed show. If you haven’t had a chance to catch this presentation, it makes for a great family outing.

Twenty-five young people, ages 12 through 17, make up the team with six leaders.

“What started twelve years ago as an evening to entertain children at our church, has evolved into a full ministry. It is so much fun to watch the children’s faces, the adult smiles and the laughter and clapping at our shows while we present the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is fun as well as exciting at each show,” claims Sara Walker, who has worked with the team since it started.

“You may want to come early to get a seat since we usually have a full house. Hope to see you there. Admission is free.
