The 66th annual Junior League of Savannah Thrift Sale will be held on Oct 4 from 10am to 2pm and Oct 5 from 10am to 3pm at the Savannah Civic Center. Admission is $5 on Friday and $3 on Saturday. Items sold on Saturday are halfprice. Parking is free.
Tickets are on sale now and may be purchased at the Civic Center Box Office, 651-6556, or online at jrleaguesav.org. Merchandise includes appliances, children’s clothes and toys, holiday decorations, books, CDs, housewares, linens, exercise equipment, furniture and much, much more.
In addition, a limited number of tickers will be sold to the community for the Thrift Sale Preview Party and Auction on Oct 3 beginning 5:30pm. Guests who purchase preview party tickers have an opportunity to shop before the sale opens to the public in Friday and participate in a silent and live auction. Floor items are sold at double the marked price. Tickets for that event are available online at jrleaguesav.org.
Throughout the two-day sale, the League raises thousands of dollars, all of which is returned to the community through various League projects and the training of League members to be leaders in the community.
This League’s focus area is women and children. Junior League of Savannah’s sponsors are Publix Super Market Charities, The Savannah Bank, Belk and Ashmore Gallery.
The Junior League of Savannah is an organization of over 1,000 women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. For more information, go to jrleaguesav.org.
