The Georgia Historical Society is pleased to present Super Museum Sunday, a statewide event and part of the 2018 Georgia History Festival, on Sunday, February 11.
You can experience our state’s rich history and cultural life and enjoy free admission to participating historic sites, house museums, art museums, and other points of interest in Savannah and throughout Georgia.
This year, Super Museum Sunday will feature nearly 100 venues across the state, the most in the event’s history. Whether you live in or around Columbus, Atlanta, Augusta, Savannah, Macon, Brunswick, or Dalton, we have ample opportunities in your area. The list of participants includes battlefields, house museums, Civil Rights museums, national monuments, state parks, and more. Several sites are based outdoors, giving you and your family a chance to enjoy nature and history at the same time.
Super Museum Sunday is free and open to the public. Most sites will be open for Super Museum Sunday from noon until 4 p.m., but some hours may vary depending on the location. Please check with each participating site for hours of operation that day.
