St. Philip Monumental AME Church Welcomes New Pastor

On Friday, April 2, 2016 at the 151st Session of the Georgia Annual Conference of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, Bishop Preston Warren Williams, II, Presiding Prelate of the Sixth Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, appointed Reverend Dr. Bernard Clarke as Senior Pastor of Saint Philip Monumental African Methodist Episcopal Church.

Pastor Clarke is a Savannah native and was the former pastor of Greater Gaines Chapel AME Church in Savannah. He is an educator with the Savannah Chatham County School System and teaches auto mechanics.

Pastor Clarke is married to Mrs. Antoinette Clarke and is the father of two daughters and one son.

The officers and members of Saint Philip Monumental are excited and looking forward to a spirit filled and prosperous future with the Clarke family. A formal welcome program is planned for a later date.
