St. Joseph’s/Candler WomenHeart February Heart Month Events

WomenHeart Savannah is a multi-faceted program of WomenHeart, the leading national coalition of women heart patients that educates, advocates and supports thousands of women with or at risk of heart disease, the #1 killer of women. Partnering with the St. Joseph’s/Candler Hospital System, a member of the WomenHeart National Hospital Alliance program, WomenHeart Savannah is led by a team of WomenHeart Champions who trained at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. They are Edna Jackson, Lizann Roberts and Murem Sharpe. The Savannah program offers monthly Support Network meetings providing peer-to-peer patient support and education for women with or at risk of heart disease, delivers women heart health presentations at employers, health fairs, houses of worship, and community organizations, and visits with women heart patients at the St. Joseph Heart Hospital. For a full listing of scheduled meetings and WomenHeart volunteer opportunities, email or call 912-247-4255. Follow the program at Women- HeartSavannah. Hinesville WomenHeart Support Network monthly meetings start in February.
