Savannah State men’s basketball player Robert Kelly, Jr. has left the SSU program and will transfer to South Alabama.

In his one season with the Tigers, the 6-foot- 7 Powder Springs, Georgia resident started 15 of the 26 games he played in and had 252 points, 156 rebounds and 29 blocks while shooting

61 percent from the field.

Kelly, who scored a career-high 26 points against Bethune-Cookman, had 11 rebounds and against Norfolk State, will have to sit out the 2017-18 season at South Alabama, who competes in the Sun Belt Conference.
