SSU Foundation, Inc. Presents “Building A Solid Foundation”


On August 13, 2011, at 6:30 pm, the Savannah State University Foundation, Inc. will hold its Second Annual Hall of Fame Induction and Scholarship Recognition Ceremony, to award and present scholarships to more than 50 deserving students who will be attending Savannah State University this Fall 2011.

Several of the following scholarships of the SSU Foundation and other affiliate organizations will be presented: Dr. Annette K. Brock Award, Dr. Margaret C. Robinson Award, John McGlockton NROTC Award, Inez Thomas Colson Award, Jimmy Colson Award, Rev. Gilbert Dean Athletic Award, James O. Thomas, Jr. Award, Maceo Taylor Athletic Award, Coach Bill Davis Memorial Award, Russell Ellington Memorial Award, Varnetta Frazier Memorial Award, Grady Young Foundation (GYF) -Eloise Mosley Young Memorial Award, Savage Brown Memorial Award, SSU National Alumni Association Chapters Awards, Kirbo- Conyers Endowment Awards, Regent Emeritus Elridge McMillan Award, Henton Thomas Award.

These awards/scholarships are made possible through the generous contributions of graduates of SSU, their families and friends, who have chosen to contribute each year. These scholarships also allow us to recruit and maintain promising students at SSU.

The SSU Foundation, Inc. appreciates the confidence our donors have entrusted to us in making certain their contributions reach students who need and deserve the financial support to achieve their higher education goals.

Additionally, several avid SSU Foundation supporters, in the areas of Education, Business, Military Service, Civic Service, Religious Service, Athletic Service, and SSU service, will be inducted into the SSU Foundation Hall of Fame Class of 2011.
