SSU Class of 1975 Celebrates 40th Reunion


Savannah State University’s Class of 1975 celebrates it 40th reunion on homecoming October 17, 2015. Come join the Class of 1975 during the 125th observance of the University’s founding from Georgia State Industrial College for Colored Youths, then to Savannah State College, now to the present. The class is establishing an endowment scholarship fund to assist students in pursuing undergraduate studies at Savannah State University. Danny Parrish, 1975 classmate and chairman of the Class of 1975’s scholarship drive, asks for your support to accomplish this goal.

: The host hotel is Marriott Courtyard Savannah Midtown, on October 16, 2015 at 8pm there will be a class mixer at the Savannah Ballroom in King-Frazier Building, and on October 17, 2015 at 4pm will be a backyard BBQ at the Foundation House on the campus.

The ’75 class is asking each member, or interested alumni, to donate money to the endowment scholarship fund to reach the goal of $50,000. No gift is too small to give.

The Class of 1975’s scholarship check will be presented to Dr. Cheryl Dd. Dozier, President of Savannah State University, at the halftime of the homecoming football game on October 17, 2015.
