“Souls To The Polls” Sunday Voting Turnout


 
 

Hundreds of members in our community made history Sunday by taking advantage of the NAACP’s Souls to the Polls event. It appeared to have been a success. For the first time, Chatham County held a Sunday Early Voting Day on October 26, from 12 to 5pm. After church services congregations were encouraged to go straight to the open poll at the Voter Registration Main Office at 1117 Eisenhower Dr. Suite E. Early Voting continues through Friday, October 31st. November 4th is General Election Day. VOTE this week or on November 4th. Your Voice Counts When You Vote! The photo shows water being passed out by Shirley B. James and Lawanda Tillman to the people standing in line. The water was provided by the Savannah Regional Central Labor Council, and snacks, provided by St. Philip AME Church and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Early voting contiunues through Friday, October 31st. November 4th is General Election Day. Your voice counts when you vote.
