The Sophronia M. Tompkins High School 1967 50th Class Reunion, was held on November 25, 2017 at the Holiday Inn on Highway 80, Pooler, GA.

Thirty-five classmates gathered along with their guests and former Sophronia M. Tompkins High School special honored guest teachers, Mrs. Dorothy W. Speed – Teacher of the Year 1967 and Mrs. Dorothy B. Wilson – Taught Business Education, brought words of inspiration, and reflections of the past years as our teachers at Tompkins High School. The main point of celebration was the class milestone of the 50th Year Class Reunion.

Dr. Ann Levett, Superintendent of Savannah Chatham Public Schools, took time out from her busy schedule to attend the 1967 50th Class Reunion Gala and also brought words of wisdom, well-wishes and accomplishments of the present students at the Woodville-Tompkins High Career Institute, as the name of the school was changed back in 2011 from a middle school back to a high school, and that the students are doing very well in their studies and grades.
