SDBA Luncheon Featuring Augusta Mayor Deke Copenhaver

The Savannah Downtown Business Association (SDBA) is pleased to welcome Mayor Deke Copenhaver, City of Augusta Mayor, to speak at the June Luncheon. The luncheon will take place at The Charles H. Morris Center, 10 East Broad St., on Wednesday, June 11. Networking will begin early at 11:00 am followed by lunch by Magnolia Grill at noon. The price is $25 for members and $35 for non-members. Reservations required by noon on Monday, June 9 for discounted rates. All reservations must be made via the website at www.SavannahDBA. com.

Deke Copenhaver currently serves as Mayor of Augusta, Georgia having been first elected in 2005 to serve out an unexpired term and being subsequently re-elected in 2006 and 2010. Deke attended the University of Georgia and earned a B.A. in Political Science from Augusta College. In 2004, Mr. Copenhaver was appointed to the Georgia Land Conservation Partnership Advisory Council by Governor Sonny Perdue, serving on the Partnering and Leveraging Committee. In 2005, the Council’s work resulted in the setting aside of $100 million in state funding for statewide land conservation through the passage of the Georgia Land Conservation Act.
