SCAD partners with Union Mission, St. Mary’s to bring Christmas Gifts to Local Children

In the spirit of the holidays, Savannah College of Art and Design faculty, staff and administration participated in the Savannah College of Art and Design’s 14th annual Secret Santa project, a toy drive to provide holiday gifts for local children.

This year, SCAD collected gifts for more than 100 children at Union Mission and St. Mary’s Home. Donations included many highly sought-after items, such as bicycles, iPods and Leapster electronic learning games.

SCAD President Paula S. Wallace and university faculty and staff made the first delivery of these gifts to Union Mission President and CEO Michael Elliott on Friday, Dec. 12.

The Savannah College of Art and Design is a private, nonprofit, accredited institution that offers bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in 42 different majors.
