Savannah State University Holds 191st Commencement Ceremony

Savannah State University held their 191st Commencement Ceremony last Friday in the Student Union Building and Saturday in Tiger Arena.

Mrs. Vanessa Miller Kaigler was the Graduate Ceremony speaker. A native of Savannah, Ga., Mrs. Vanessa Miller-Kaigler is a two-time graduate of Savannah State. She is currently Deputy Superintendent and Chief Operations Officer Savannah-Chatham County Public School System.

Mr. Albert Curry was the Undergraduate Ceremony speaker. A native of Edgefield, South Carolina, alumnus Albert Curry Jr. is currently the deputy assistant commandant for engineering and logistics with the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG).

Enow Ayuk, from Dublin, Georgia, and Chauntilena Butler, from Augusta, Georgia, each received the the President’s Second 7.

Mile Award.
