Savannah native Damon E. Elmore of Nowell Sparks LLC in Atlanta was elected to serve on the Executive Committee of the 49,000-member State Bar of Georgia on June 10 during the organization’s Annual Meeting. Elmore’s law practice is focused in the areas of labor and employment, compliance and human resources guidance. He earned his law degree from Emory University Law School and was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1996. He is a past president of the State Bar’s Young Lawyers Division and was appointed by the Supreme Court of Georgia to serve on the Commission on Continuing Lawyer Competency. The Board of Governors of the State Bar elects six of its members to serve on the Executive Committee with the organization’s officers. The Executive Committee meets monthly and exercises the power of the Board of Governors when the board is not in session.
