Savannah Music Festival (SMF) announces the lineup for its 2013 season, a city-wide musical arts event showcasing renowned performers in jazz, classical, Americana and world music against the backdrop of one of America’s most enchanting historic districts from March 21 to April 6. Described by USA Today as “one of the top music festivals in the world,” SMF features more than 100 productions during the 17- day event. Highlights include numerous festival debuts and unique collaborations, in addition to a wealth of varied concert programs and an unmatched variety of American acoustic music, blues and jazz. SMF offers attendees a chance to hit the dance floor with Cajun, Salsa and Zydeco dance parties. “At SMF, we live for the exchange between artists and audiences that comes whether it’s a 400- year old masterpiece or the premiere of a commissioned work,” remarks SMF Executive & Artistic Director Rob Gibson.
