Savannah Feed the Hungry is pleased to welcome Mrs. Naomi King, sister in-law to the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., to the Lowcountry this weekend.

Mrs. King will visit several area schools to speak about human rights issues that are near to her heart, such as female empowerment and the tragedy of child-trafficking.

Savannah Feed the Hungry will be hosting an elegant dinner in Mrs. King’s honor at the DeSoto Hilton on Friday, February 24th, 7pm.

This is a black-tie fundraising event and is open to the public. All are welcome to attend. Tickets are just $65 and can be purchased in advance at the Life Center, 4011 Augusta Rd. Garden City, Ga. 31408.

Guests will be treated to live entertainment from the Savannah Dance Academy, a gourmet dinner catered by the DeSoto Hilton, and a private showing of the film “A.D. King, Brother to the Dreamer”. Mrs. King would be pleased to meet you!

On Saturday, February 25th, Mrs. King will join the Hinesville Feed the Hungry chapter at their second homeless and hungry dinner to be held at the National Guard Armory at 12 p.m. Volunteers are welcome to sign up online at vww.savannahfeedthehungry.com.
