Savannah-Chatham Silver Cheetahs Compete

This past weekend, on December 29, 2018, the Silver Cheetahs competed in the North Carolina United Youth Indoor Track and Field Classic in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. 10 athletes from the Savannah-Chatham Silver Cheetahs competed in Winston Salem, North Carolina, against multiple track and field teams across Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.

As a result, the Savannah Chatham Silver Cheetahs brought home 1 gold medal, 3 silver medals, and 2 bronze medals from Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

The following athletes competed in the North Carolina United Youth Indoor Track and Field Classic:

Mariah Ogden – Gold in Shot Put (28ft 11in); Olivia Brown – Silver in High Jump (5ft); Ivey Hall – Silver in 400 Meter Dash (1:11.61s; Avery Smalls, Jr. – Silver in Long Jump (13ft 3in); Keyara Lovett – Bronze in 60 Meter Hurdles (10.28s); Desiree Lovett – Bronze in Shot Put (32ft 5in); Malaysia Jordon – 4th in Shot Put (31ft 6in); Alexandra Riley – 5th in 800 Meter Run (2:43.89s); Nysha Jordan – 8th in 60 Meter Dash (8.05s); Jailynn Bacon – 24th in 200 Meter Dash (27.86s).
