On Saturday, February 24, 2012 a book launch and signing for the second volume in the Civil War Savannah series was held at the Ships of the Sea Museum. Authors Barry Sheehy & Vaughnette Goode-Walker pulled back the moss curtain to confront the issue of slavery head-on as one of the core political, moral, and economic factors that gave rise to the War. This second book in the series, Savannah: Brokers, Bankers, and Bay Lane: Inside the Savannah Slave Trade examines the business of slavery in the late antebellum Savannah.
