The Savannah Black Nurses Association will participate in the Health Fair being sponsored by the Thankful Missionary Baptist Church on August 13, 2011.
The Church is located 820 MLK Jr. Blvd., and Paul A. Sheppard is the Pastor.
The Savannah Black Nurses Association (SBNA) was founded on April 29, 1987, by a group of nurses concerned about dialogue, communication, education and working conditions of African American Nurses, as well as the health care needs of the African American community.
Over the years, SBNA has implemented numerous programs to bring about awareness of health issues that are critical to the African American population by providing educational workshops and screenings and it is our hope that African Americans and other underserved populations will become proactive about their health and wellness; thus realizing a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle.
