Savannah Black Heritage Festival


 
 

The City of Savannah will celebrate Grand Festival Day on Saturday, February 13. There would be an arrangement of many activities that is welcomed to the public. Also a concert will be held at the Savannah

Civic Center,

Ave.

There will activities such as the public health and wellness walk which kicks at

8:30am. The walk would start from the Savannah Civic Center and ending at Forsyth Park.

The 5th annual youth exercise program will be hosted by Childhood Obesity and Prevention Education (COPE) and Savannah State University (SSU) Athletic Department. The event will be held ballroom youth floor where there would be many activities held.

There will be other events for the youth such as story telling and performances to entertain the children throughout the day. For more information and to reserve a seat contact bloodp@ SavannahState.edu.

Each year the Savannah Black Heritage is presented by the City of Savannah Department of Cultural Affairs and Savanna State University. The events that are held are free of admission and open for any one who is interested to join. For more information go to Savannahstate.edu.
