Savannah Beauty Culturists League Makes A Donation To Greenbriar Children’s Center

 
 
Members of the Savannah Beauty Culturists League along with President Ruby Walker made a generous donation to Greenbriar Children’s Center last Monday. Executive Director Gena Taylor accepted the presentation.

A nonprofit organization in Beauty, Cosmetics & Personal Care, the Savannah Beauty Culturists League was organized in 1962 by Mrs. Mary Moore. The Savannah Chapter is a branch of the Georgia State and National Beauty Culturist

Leagues.

The League has dedicated energies toward fulfilling the purposes set forth by the founders including: establish high standards of conduct and operation; encourage scientific methods of hair, scalp and skin treatment; gather prepare and disseminate educational information; seek legislation beneficial t the beauty profession; promote goodwill and cooperative effort among all beauticians, manufacturers and persons engaged in related fields; and to promote the general welfare and raise the public image of those engaged in the beauty culture field. The mission of Greenbriar Children’s Center is to promote the healthy development of children and the strengthening of families. They provide services that include an emergency shelter, runaway/homeless, residential care, independent living, family preservation, early childhood education & care, and Project Safe Place.
