Savannah Baptist Ministers’ Wives & Widows Alliance Hosts Southern Region Conference


The Savannah Baptist Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows Alliance under the leadership of President Mrs. Ella B. Blackshear and Vice President Mrs. Janet Moultrie, is set to present the 2015 Georgia Association of Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows, Interdenominational, Southern Region of Georgia Conference for Ministers Wives and Ministers Widows on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 10:00 am. The historic Second African Baptist Church will serve as the venue, Mrs. Carolyn S. Blackshear, 1st Vice President of GAMWMW, Incorporated is the host, Dr. Ethel P. Stokes, President Emeritus of GAMWMW.

The focus of this conference will be to reach out to all Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows to introduce them to the tremendous work that Minister’ Wives are involved in on the local, state and internationally levels. The work of the Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows organizations is an international service dedicated to improving and enriching the lives of Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows and the outstanding work they are involved in beyond supporting their husbands in Ministry.

Members of the Savannah Interdenominational Ministers’ Wives and Widows, Evangelist Jackie B. Small, President and Minister Sophronia M. Mc- Clendon, Vice President and the Pilgrim & Vicinity Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows, Statesboro, GA, Mrs. Elizabeth Lee, President will support and participate in this event.

Annually during this conference local and area charitable organizations are selected as part of the organization’s “Bright Light Award Program” this year’s conference will shine a light on the Sojourner of Savannah. This project provides CNA training and certification to members of our community who are low income or homeless. The Ministers’ Wives will also provide items from Sojourners’ Wish List.
