The City of Savannah, in partnership with Return Logistics Inc. and South University School of Pharmacy, will hold Savannah’s first Medicine Cabinet Cleanout at this year’s Earth Day RecycleRama on Saturday, April 17 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the south end of Forsyth Park. Human and pet, liquid and pill form, medications will be collected for safe disposal.
The City of Savannah is taking proactive steps to educate the public about this issue and prevent pharmaceuticals from polluting our waterways.
Volunteers and law enforcement will be present to collect medications and properly dispose of them in compliance with Federal Law. This is an amnesty event aimed at disposing of these potentially harmful medications. As such, no participant will be questioned for surrendering ANY medication during this event.
