The Rape Crisis Center of the Coastal Empire announced recently that it has appointed Doris L. Williams as RCC’s Interim Executive Director during its search for its next Executive Director. “The Board of Directors is confident that Ms. Williams has the skills, dedication and experience to guide the RCC as it carries forward its mission during this transition,” said Board President, Lynne Wolf.
Ms. Williams is a graduate of Savannah State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration with a degree in Accounting. She also holds two Master’s degrees – a Master of Human Resources Management and a Master of Management and Leadership from Webster
University. For more than 10 years, Ms. Williams has served the RCC diligently and passionately – most recently as its Office Administrator – and was honored in 2017, as the Center’s Employee of the Year.
“I am incredibly humbled and grateful for the opportunity to serve in this new role, and to lead the RCC during this critical time, as we continue to focus on the care of our clients and the education of our community,” Ms. Williams said.
The Rape Crisis Center is a local non-profit program that works to provide resources, advocacy, prevention activity and education to victims of sexual assault and their families. In addition, the organization is also responsible for anti-bullying projects, safer smarter kids, and by-stander intervention programs in local schools and colleges.
