From 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 19 at 302 East Henry Street some of the Low Country’s best dressed, influential and creative women will open a pop-up shop to benefit the Rape Crisis Center. Viva la Diva Pop-up shop will feature collections of the clothing, accessories, furniture and crafts they have accumulated over the years. Some 10 to 100 percent of the sales from each collection will benefit the work of Rape Crisis Center.
The various collections include high end designer fashions, one of a kind craft pieces and tasteful trend items. Some items are gently used; some still have tags attached. clothing items range from petite to plus sizes.
Some of the participating low country women are Bernadette Ball-Oliver, Aretha Rhone-Bush, Tina Tyus-Shaw, and Jenel Few. Additionally, clothing donations that have been made to the Rape Crisis Center will be on sale with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the Center.
The only thing more beautiful than well dressed women is women emptying their well-stocked closets to empower their female counterparts.
