You are cordially invited to witness another milestone of Emmanuel Tabernacle Apostolic Faith Church history. A Pastoral Installation Service will be held in honor of Pastor-Elect Kedric West, Sr. and First lady-Elect Rose Mary West on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. The officiant will be Bishop Joseph D Guthrie, Diocesan of the 30th Episcopal District of the Georgia State Council. The theme is: “Passing the Mantle”, II Kings 2:13. District Elder is Lucille P. Turner, Pastor Emeritus of Emmanuel Tabernacle, located at 1001 E. Henry St.

Pastor Elect Kedric West was born in Elyria Ohio. By the age of 14, he had lived with different relatives and in several foster care homes. Both parents were deceased early in his life.

After two years in the United States Marine Corps (1972-1974), West studied Business administration at Hammel Business College in Akron Ohio. In August 1977 West surrendered his life to the calling of God, and that was the turning point in his life.

In September of 1977 West attended the funeral of his uncle, the Late Elder James Bryant, Former Pastor of Emmanuel Tabernacle Apostolic Faith Church Inc in Savannah. In October of that same year West received another call. “I believe that call too was a call of God,” said West, “although it came by way of telephone. The call was from my uncle’s widow, then Evang. Lucille P. Bryant, who would become the next Pastor of Emmanuel T.A.F. Church Inc. for the next 40 years. “Upon learning that I had surrendered my life to God,” West continued, “she asked me if I would consider moving to Savannah. Yes, I would! My prayer during that time was “Lord I just want to stay saved!” A few weeks later West moved to Savannah and became a member of Emmanuel Tabernacle.

On November 25, 1978, West was joined in Holy Matrimony to the former Rose Mary Williams. They have 12 children, 16 grandchildren.

They served as faithful members of Emmanuel for more than 22 years, before moving their membership to Jonesville Baptist Church where they served there for more than 17 years. They are back at Emmanuel to take the church to the next level of ministry.
