Operation Clean Sweep Moves To Cuyler/Brownville Neighborhood

The City of Savannah is joining forces with local residents and other organizations for a summer neighborhood cleanup in the Cuyler/Brownville Neighborhood on Saturday, June 24 from 9 a.m. until noon. The event will kick off at 9 a.m. in the City owned vacant lot located at West 37th and Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard. Activities will include litter and trash pickup, lot cutting and lane cleaning, as well as outreach and education from Savannah Fire and Emergency Services (SFES) and Savannah Chatham Metro Police (SCMPD), which plans to have SCMPD Command Vehicle on-site. The target areas are: West 37th to W. 41st streets and Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard to Harden Street.

Participating entities include City of Savannah Sanitation, Community Planning and Development, Property Maintenance department, SFES, SCMPD, Savannah Impact, Operation Clean Sweep and neighborhood residents and volunteers.
