The Brothers of Mu Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated donated a $500.00 theraputic bicycle on November 10, to the Savannah AMBUCS organization at their 2nd Annual AmTryke Road Show. The recpient of the bicycle was Charles Pinright, who was a very happy young man that morning who was accompanied by his mother and father.
The AmTryke therapeutic bicycle, which can be hand and/or foot operated, are designed to accomodate riders of all ages, size, and verying degrees of physical limitations. The AMBUCS is non-profit service organization consisting of a diverse group of men and women who are dedicated to creating mobility and independence for people with disabilities.
The Brothers would like to thank the Savannah AMBUCS for all of the hard work that they do for the Savannah community.
Along with the bicycle donation, Mu Phi Chapter also participated in its quarterly clean-up of the Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard through the city of Savannah’s Adopt-ASpot program. Mu Chapter has adopted and maintained the corrider from Gwinnett Streets to Victory Drive along MLK, Jr. Blvd for the past two years.
