On January 18, 2018, Pastor Larry McDaniel, Chairman of the Board of Old Savannah City Mission appointed William E. Stiles, Jr. to its Board of Directors. Pastor McDaniel stated that it was his honor and pleasure to welcome William to the Board. Stiles is a native Savannahian graduating from Jenkins High School in 1998 with honors. After high school he attended Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia, graduating Cum Laude in 2002. From there, he attended the Maxwell School of Public Administration at Syracuse University, graduating Suma Cum Laude in 2003. He then attended the University of Georgia School of Law, graduating Cum Laude in 2006.
William is the son of William E. Stiles, Sr., Executive Director of Old Savannah City Mission and Connell J. Stiles, Director of Development and Retail Sales. Old Savannah City Mission is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and does not receive any federal, state, county, or city funding. Their mission is to Proclaim the Gospel by: Feeding the Hungry, Sheltering the Homeless, Rehabilitating the Addict and Restoring the ex-Offender.
William is married to his law school sweetheart, Amber, and they are the proud parents of two daughters, Blake Elizabeth – 2 ½ and Ryan Madison – 11 months. They are expecting their third child, a boy-Liam Elliott in June of this year. Stiles works with the Atlanta law firm of Bey and Associates, specializing in commercial vehicle litigation.
