The Georgia Department of Transportation activated a new four-way traffic signal Tuesday morning July 10 at the intersection of State Route 21 and Grange Road in Chatham County.
Message boards are in place near the intersection to alert motorists of this new traffic signal location and activation date. Local law enforcement will handle traffic control during activations.
Motorists are advised to proceed cautiously through this intersection at all times, but most certainly so the days following the activation as drivers become acclimated to the new signal.
This signal is among the final elements of the Department’s renovation of Grange Road. The $10.7 million widening and reconstruction of Grange Road will improve safety and accommodate the increase volume of traffic in this area.
