Dr. Keenya G. Mosley was honored on Wednesday, January 12 at Ruth Chris Restaurant as one of Savannah’s Top 20 Rising Stars of Business by the Savannah Magazine and BIS.

Currently, she is responsible for placing students on internships, coordinating professional development activities and providing career guidance for students transitioning from college to careers at Savannah State University.

She supervises the internship course and teaches Freshmen Year Experience for the College of Business. Dr. Mosley has attracted executives from various companies providing mentorships for the business students at Savannah State University.

As a result of Dr. Mosley working closely with students, internships in over 56 organizations were received including Georgia Lottery, Miller Coors, Steak and Shake Corporate, BBDO Worldwide, CNN, Thompson Hospitality Corporate, Sante Fe Natural Tobacco Company, and FDIC. She has generated over $40,000 in scholarships and assists the COBA Advisory Board in the coordination of the annual COBA Golf Classic.

Dr. Mosley has presented two papers at the International Academy of Business and Public Administration Disciplines Conference as part of the proceedings and she is currently in the process of preparing the papers for publication.

Dr. Mosley is also responsible for securing the Wal Mart grant for the SSU Eco Tigers in addition to over $70,000 in corporate sponsorships for students to attend leadership conferences.

She works tirelessly in the community as a member of the Rape Crisis Center Board of Directors, Coastal Workforce Investment Board, Savannah State University COBA Advisory Board and Program Director for the Savannah Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated.

Previously, Mosley supervised a training and employment program at Savannah Technical College recognized as one of top 5 programs in the state of GA and selected as campus liaison of the year for her Career Awareness Program at Savannah State University from the National Urban League BEEP.

She is the daughter of Donald and Sherrol Gray, wife of Paul W. Mosley, Sr., and mother of William, Jermaya and Paul II. As a newly mented Ph.D., Dr. Mosley, credits her drive and motivation to her late grandmothers Jessie M. Jenkins and Annie Bolden Nance.

She is a member of Speedwell United Methodist Church.
