The Savannah Presbytery Welcomes Carolyn Guilford Back to Present the Workshop “Our Daily Bread”.

Since 1979 the Savannah Presbytery has hosted Training Events for Officers of the Church, now called the Leadership Development Conference. This event takes place each February at Epworth by the Sea on St. Simons Island, GA. Hosting outstanding keynote leadership and many splendid workshop leaders from within the Presbytery.

Carolyn Guilford of Butler Presbyterian Church in Savannah will offer insight on the state of bread: hazards and benefits in today’s culture. “Bread is central to our faith, our lives, and to our health. Bread is an important element in both the Old Testament and in the New Testament of the Word, and not only that, is also a symbol of physical sustenance, which is key to our lives as Christians”.

Yet, eating bread today is impacting our health in some very negative ways. So, what to do? This workshop will help attendees reconcile today’s lifestyle and the teachings of the Bible. Bread as food and its link to many health conditions including high blood sugar, weight gain, heart disease, leaky gut syndrome, malnutrition and more.

In this workshop we will investigate bread as part of our cultures’ food choices. As we attempt to make choices which will truly be health sustaining, and learn the key to eliminating illness in this age, we must learn the secrets of restoring health. The simple truth is in the Holy Word, but how do we apply it in this time?

What every Christian needs to know in ‘feeding the temple’ will be answered in this workshop.

Carolyn Guilford a former certified critical care nurse who has moved toward preventive care with clients as nutritionist, wellness consultant, speaker, published author, and workshop facilitator.

Also from Butler Presbyterian Church presenting workshops at this 34th Conference are Dr. Luetta Milledge, Mrs. Paula Mullice and Interim Pastor Rev. Donald Dilley.
