On Monday, December 7, 2009, seven Law & Government Explorers from Savannah-Chatham public high schools attended an Exploring event at the Chatham County Courthouse.

The students were able to observe live court sessions, tour the various departments and participate in a discussion with Judge Penny Haas Freeseman.

Special thanks are extended to Nan Garner at the Chatham County Courthouse for organizing these activities, Judge Freeseman for her participation, and attorneys Drew Wilkes and Brad Harmon for their assistance with this Explorer Post event.

Many thanks also to Gayle Tremble, Youth Apprenticeship and Workbased Learning Coordinator for the Savannah Chatham Public High Schools, for her assistance in organizing this year’s Exploring programs.

Exploring, a subsidiary of Boy Scouts of America, strives to be the foremost coeducational youth program for character and career development.
