Joe Steffen Kicks-Off Campaign For Alderman-At-Large, Post 2

Joe Steffen has officially kicked-off his campaign for Alderman at-Large, Post 2 in Baldwin Park. Steffen is running on a platform of a safer, healthier, more prosperous and unified city where all citizens come together as “One Savannah.”

“In announcing my campaign, it’s my desire to be a unifying force for the betterment of Savannah. It’s absolutely imperative that we win the battle on crime. I will work to ensure that law enforcement is fully staffed so there is a visible presence in our neighborhoods. I also believe that reducing poverty dramatically reduces crime and I’ll fight for more jobs that pay a fair living wage,” Steffen said. “I’ll remain involved in our community and work with fellow council members and staff respectfully and in a spirit of cooperation. In the fight to make our city safe, thriving, and economically strong for all, then we must work together.”

Steffen is the Director of Government Relations for Savannah State University and a proud member of 100 Black Men. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Frank Cullen Boys & Girls Club, CASA, the King-Tisdell Foundation, and Leadership Savannah.
