Ervin Williams, PhD., an entrepreneur, author, global consultant, and former Professor of Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia will make a presentation from his book entitled, The Leadership Traits and Footprints of Nelson Mandela. Mandela was born on July 18, 1918 in the Transkel region of South Africa’s Eastern Cape Province. The anti-apartheid icon was imprisoned for 27 years for his advocacy, and later served as the country’s first Black president. According to Ervin Nelson Mandela’s greatness is reflected in the fact that he led the charge to actually transform a nation from an oppressive, white-governmental ruling class to the birth of a new democratic nation. Then further, as president, he began a peaceful, forgiving, nation-building process that is also unparalleled in the governance of any newly formed country. Unquestionably, Mandela will be remembered as one of the greatest leaders of all times – truly an uber leader.
