How To Create Health

This is a question that comes up a lot, “I want to become healthier, but I don’t know where to start”.

“How can I really get the diabetes under control?, Is it possible to prevent a stroke?, How can I heal faster?, How can I lose weight permanently?, How can I teach my children to eat better?, What can I do to heal diabetic wounds?, Is there really a cure for cancer?, How can I boost my immune system?, How can I regain my strength and weight after cancer treatment?, Can I stop the kidney damage before I have to face dialysis?, How can I get my circulation to improve? , How can I get off so many medicines?”

These questions all point to the same answer – Change. Sadly we instinctively know the answer, but the true answer is not the one we really want. What we want is a miracle cure, and someone else to ‘perform it’ so that we have no personal responsibility. An easy to swallow pill, the liquid may not taste good, and I need my insurance to pay for it!

Waiting for that miracle is going to take up a lot of your life, waste your time, increase your suffering, land you in the hospital as your condition continues to worsen, cost a lot of money, and exhaust your family and all those who love you. The answer to all the above questions is -you’ve got to change and start to do something differently. Making dietary and lifestyle changes is the only way to truly change your health.

If you want to get better, you’ve got to do better. You’ve got to start with a willingness to change. Once you can see yourself better, your mind is open to change, and you are willing to work toward better, your life and health can become gloriously and brilliantly improved, and you can become totally healed. And the choice is totally in your hands.

Where to start? Start by assessing your current situation. Are you happy, free of pain, living the best possible life? Free to go where you want, when you want, and to have what you want? If not, why?

Get the information that will be your road map to a new life situation. Nothing changes until you change. If you are not getting the results you want, seek new information. There is nothing wrong with starting your own research project, with the goal being a better you.

We are creatures of habit; the habits we have set up caused us to be who we are and where we are. As we reevaluate our habits and make changes, we also change – for better or worse. Setting up good habits makes life easy. By changing our habits, we set in motion a new set of controls, and as we continue the new path, life around us changes. And the new habits change us. Little changes when put on autopilot – habits – can result in a beautiful new life.

I’ve learned in coaching clients and in facilitating workshops that having a reason or need for change, and creating a new personal philosophy around that need for change, makes setting up new habits very easy. Here is how It’s done: Create a new ritual – so that you start doing the new thing daily or several times a day. Use the new ritual to crowd out an old habit that is no longer of benefit to you.

Journal to reinforce the new philosophy – Journaling is to dialogue with your inner you. Commit to doing the new thing for 30 days. You can do anything for 30 days right? Be consistent – Honor yourself by being true to the commitment you’ve made to yourself. Enjoy the benefits of your new ritual – as you enjoy the great results and your newfound success.

This is your starting point. Seek and you shall find. If you want the right answers, you can find them. If you can’t do it alone, or don’t want it to be that hard, or don’t have the time to suffer any longer, get a coach or mentor. Success is easy when you can have someone who knows the ropes lead you around the obstacles to the finish line. If what you’ve been doing is not working, it’s time for a change!

Allow yourself the magnificence of a better, happier, successful and more beautiful quality of life. Simply by seeing yourself better, changing your mind and setting in place some simple new habits can change your body from sickness to health and your life from lackluster to fantastic. It is all up to you.

Remember, Health is a Choice.
