This month, Historic Savannah Foundation (HSF) launched a new social media photo contest to run throughout July, which poses the question: What is your favorite historic building or place in Savannah and surrounding Chatham county?

Locals and visitors are invited to share their photos of their favorite historic building or place via Instagram, describing why they chose it, and most importantly, using the hashtag #SavFave. All entrants will be automatically entered into the contest, which runs July 1-31, 2018.

The first-place prize includes $250 cash, a collection of HSF books (including Savannah: Square by Square), The second-place winner will receive Savannah, Square by Square. First, second and third-place winner’s photos will be publicly displayed and published in HSF’s An- nual Report.

All photographs submitted must be original work and should have been taken within the last 12 months prior to the end of the contest. There is no limit to the number of photos individuals may submit. Full ownership of the image will be retained by the photographer, however by choosing to upload a photo to Instagram, using #SavFave, HSF is granted the express right to reuse the photo in all future marketing, publications, and social media – credit will be given to the photographer when used.
