Grand Raffle Held To Benefit Operation Hero House

Lamar Smith of Lamar Smith Signature Homes held a Grand Raffle Event with Paula Deen last Thursday evening at the Charles Morris Center. The reverse raffle was for a chance at winning a brand new 2013 Vaden Nissan Versa 4 Door Sedan given by Vaden Nissan of Hinesville. The event was held to benefit Operation Hero House. Paula Deen of the Lady and Sons and David Hagan of Lamar Signature Homes were hosts for the evening. Several TV show games were played as they counted down to the drawing for the grand prize. The last two ticket holders standing were Tanya Kemmerlin of Low Country Lighting and Chris Beecher of Oglethorpe Mortgage. Brandon Rogers of Vaden Nissan made the two an offer to take a lump sum of money oppose to one of them winning the car. They both agreed to take the money and made a donation back to Operation Hero House.

Operation Hero House is a project of giving back to the men and women who fight to keep our country free. Many have lost their lives, some have lost limbs and Lamar Smith wants to honor them by making a donation of a brand new home to a special military family. . His motto for this project is “Standing Up For Those Who Stood Up For Us”.
