Green Truck Pub in Savannah will host a fundraiser to benefit the Memorial Health University Physicians-Family Medicine Center garden project on Wednesday, March 23, from 5 to 7 p.m.
The event is sponsored by Georgia’s Lowcountry Chapter of the American Herbalists Guild. Family medicine resident physician Justin Law, M.D., is spearheading the raised bed garden project. An avid gardener himself, he plans to install raised garden beds on the grounds of the Family Medicine Center, located on 66th Street. The vegetables and herbs grown there will be distributed – free of charge – to Family Medicine Center patients to encourage them to make healthy food choices.
Memorial University Medical Center offers six residency programs that train new physicians from around the world.
