Economic Development Chief To Present At The Hungry Club Forum

The Hungry Club Forum of Savannah, Inc. (HCFS) will continue its annual focus on Community Economic Development and Small and Minority Business Development at its September 3, 2016 monthly Signature Roundtable and Open Forum. The breakfast forum will be held in the Multipurpose Room of the WSB YMCA, located at 1110 May Street, at 9:30 AM.

Manuel ‘Manny’ Dominguez, Director of Economic Development for the City of Savannah will be the keynote presenter. Manny is passionate about the impact that entrepreneurship can have on a community. He seeks to ensure that local government, community based organizations, and key partners play a role in making Savannah the best city in the world to start and grow a business. Prior to joining the City of Savannahís Bureau of Community & Economic Development, Manny served as the Executive Director of NYC Business Solutions at the New York City Department of Small Business Services, where he oversaw a network of 17 centers that offer direct assistance to over 10,000 business owners a year across all five boroughs. Business Solutions provides free business courses, financing assistance, legal advice, and recruitment services.

The HCFS invites the general public to join us in meeting and greeting and discovering what Manny has in store for our community. ìWe want to continue to interact, dialogue, exchange and share with people who are making a difference in the Savannah community,î says Bishop Willie Ferrell, President, HCFS. According to Diana Harvey Johnson, President, Pinnacle Communications Corporation, consultants to the HCFS, the informal breakfast forums bring together a diverse audience of business owners, clergy, elected officials, neighborhood leaders and community advocates to access the status and address the needs of African Americans and the entire community of Savannah and the Coastal Empire area.
