Early Scholars University located at 19 Colonial Trail in Garden City held a King and Queen Contest recently as a fundraiser for the school. Devoris Glanton, the son of Zelonia Williams and the late Devoris Glanton, Sr. was crowned King. He is a 4 years old and enjoys to read and sing. He is also the grandson of Mary Williams, Henry Harris, Helen Davis and Richard Glanton.

Crowned Queen was Cherish Lyttle, the 20 month old daughter of

Erick and Le- Shay Lyttle and granddaughter of James and Rose Lyttle, and Cheryl White and Lee Blackshear. Great grandparents are Lois Tate, Clara and James Hunte. She enjoys to dance and sing. King Devoris and Queen Cherish participated in the Martin Luther King, Jr. parade held last Monday.
