Dr. Donna Jackson-Jones Elected To Georgia School Counselor Association (GSCA) Executive Board

 
 
SCCPSS School Counselor Dr. Donna Jackson Jones of Johnson High School, has been elected to serve on the 2018-2019 Georgia School Counselor Association (GSCA) Executive Board as the State Southern Director. This is Dr. Jones’ second year serving on the GSCA’s leadership team.

The Georgia School Counselor Association is a private, non-profit association comprised of school counselors, counseling and guidance directors, supervisors, administrators, counselor educators, and other individuals involved in related activities who have an impact on a student’s success and wellbeing at school, work and home. The organization has over a 1,000 members from throughout the state of Georgia who work in educational settings from post-secondary to elementary schools.

Dr. Jones received her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Troy University, and her Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Administration from Argosy University. She has been with the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System since 2007. She previously worked as a counselor in Lee County Schools in Alabama.
