Days of Giving donations to local non-profits will exceed $1 million across Georgia this year, with 23 groups in the Savannah area receiving $1,000 each this fall.

Wells Fargo also announced that it is using Days of Giving to provide a boost to Georgia Gives Day – a statewide campaign to encourage communities throughout Georgia to support non-profits in the state, climaxing in a 24-hour statewide giving event on Dec. 6, 2012. “It’s great that Days of Giving has surpassed the milliondollar mark – and supporting Georgia Gives Day is a way to provide even more help,” said Emily Galloway, Wells Fargo area president.

The focal point of Georgia Gives Day is a comprehensive web site, www.GAgivesday.org that lists and describes hundreds of participating non-profits.

“Georgians are generous people. We are excited to create an opportunity for everyone, in every corner of the state, to support the causes that make Georgia great,” says Karen Beavor, President and CEO of the center.

Now in its fourth year in Georgia, groups receiving Days of Giving grants were selected by team members at Wells Fargo’s 15 bank stores in Savannah, and by team members in other business lines, for the work they are doing in the team members’ local areas.

The following groups
