Daphne Maxwell Reid of “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air” to Speak at Deltas Founders Day Luncheon

 
 
Join the members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. – Savannah Alumnae Chapter as they celebrate their annual Founders Day on Saturday, February 24, 2018, 10:00A.M. The Chapter will sponsor a Founders Day luncheon at the Savannah Marriott Riverfront.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., founded in 1913 by 22 undergraduate women at Howard University, is a private, not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world. Since its founding, more than 200,000 women have joined the organization. The sorority currently has 1,000 collegiate and alumnae chapters located in the United States, England, Japan (Tokyo and Okinawa), Germany, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Jamaica and the Republic of Korea.

The speaker will be television personality, Daphne Maxwell Reid, best known as Aunt Vivian from the hit comedy, “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air”, a television sitcom that originally aired on NBC TV from September 10, 1990 to May 20,

1996.

Her forty-year acting career is still vital with roles on many new television programs, including the host of “Virginia Currents” on Richmond’s WCVE (PBS). Reid, who is an Honorary Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., is currently an Honorary Co- Chair of the sorority’s Arts and Letters Commission.

The entire community is invited to join in this exciting event. Donation is only $35.00.
