The Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Cloverdale Community center was held last Wednesday, August 14, 2013. 1909 Cynthia Street is the location for the center (behind Butler Elementary School).

This community center will include a multi-purpose room that will seat 120 people in a banquet setting with a serving kitchen and pantry. The building will also include a computer room, an exercise room, restrooms, as well as the utility spaces needed to support and run the facility. A new access road and parking lot will be constructed that will separate the flow of people and vehicles from the school traffic.

The design team, led by Architect Anne K. Smith of Lominack Kolman Smith Architects, is comprised of 100% local Savannah small businesses working within Chatham County. This project is funded by the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST).
