The new Central Precinct will house state-of-the-art equipment for police officers as well as a meeting room to be used by the community. Currently Central Precinct officers operate out of rented space at 1512 Bull St.

Immediately following the groundbreaking ceremony, the City held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Eastside Precinct.

The Eastside Precinct is located at 2250 E. Victory Dr. This new precinct is now the hub for officers who previously reported to the Islands Precinct on Whitemarsh Island. This precinct was set up as a result of the demerger with Chatham County.
