Child Sex Trafficking Conference Announced For October 26th

District 2 Alderman Mary Osborne; Alderman At-Large, Post 1 Carolyn Bell; District 3 Alderman John Hall; Conference Organizer Joyce Piersanti; and SCMPD Chief Joseph Lumpkin look on as Mayor Edna B. Jackson announces details of the upcoming Child Sex Trafficking Conference.

Mayor Edna Jackson, City Aldermen, and SCMPD Chief Joseph H. Lumpkin, Sr. joined conference organizers for a news conference at City Hall this morning to announce details of the upcoming 2015 Child Sex Trafficking Community Response Forum Conference. The conference will take place Monday, October 26, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Savannah Civic Center.

Georgia State Attorney General Sam Olens and U.S. Attorney Edward J. Tarver will participate in the conference along with other agencies and organizations committed to fighting child sex trafficking in Georgia.

Mayor Jackson has invited a cross-section of the Savannah community to join in this collaborative effort and commit their skills to the fight against child sex trafficking in our City.
