Chatham Retired Educators Attends State Convention–Wins Big!


Fourteen members of the Chatham Retired Educators Association (CREA) attended the annual Georgia Retired Educators Association (GREA) Conference, April 28-30, 2015 at Lake Lanier in Buford, Georgia. Chatham Retired Educators Association received certificates in each of the following areas: Increase Membership, History Update, Community Service, Archives and History, Shriners Hospital Certificate of Appreciation,

Monthly Newsletters, Public Relations Portfolio, Scholarship, Scrapbook submission, Purchasing Spotlight Ads, and contributing to the Education Museum. Having qualified for an award in each of the areas mentioned CREA received the coveted Unit of Excellence Award and the State’s Top Unit of Distinction Award. Those members attending the conference were: Henrietta Gray, President, Ivy Richardson, President Elect 2014-2015, Connie Cooper, President Elect 2015-2016, Dorothy Wilson, Past GREA President, Janie B. Bruen, Omie B. Flournoy, Rosa Jackson, Annette S. Mitchell, Delores Washington, Greer Reese, Dorothy Speed, Johnye Gillans, Carolyn Russell and Lula Davis.
